What you can and can't write on your resume
What sections should a resume contain?
Title. Traditionally, the title of the resume includes the first name, last name and, in some cases, middle name of the applicant. Do not write any words "resume", "questionnaire", etc., it is not customary.
Coordinates. This is where you put your address, phone numbers, and email address. The more coordinates you give, the more chances the employer will have to contact you. You can also mark your preferred channel of contact.
Target. If you are applying for a particular job offer, put the name of the specific position for which you are applying in this section. In other cases you can specify either the field of activity that interests you or, if you are familiar with the structure of the company, you can indicate that you are interested in positions in a particular structural subdivision. Remember, the clearer your objective is, the better impression you can make on the employer.
Education. Information about education is usually given in reverse chronological order (include not only education, but different courses, trainings, etc.; do not include pre-university education). You should draw the employer's attention to courses that may be useful in your chosen field of work. Also specify the topics of your term and graduation theses, as well as the department they were defended in, but only if they are relevant to your future work. You should also indicate awards and diplomas received during your studies, participation in student paper contests, scientific achievements.
Work Experience. Information about work experience is also set out in reverse chronological order. Here you should indicate the period of work, the name of the organization, position and main responsibilities. Try to emphasize your main achievements (use very clear and concise wording), pay special attention to the positive results of the work. Do not include irrelevant work experience that has nothing to do with the intended position or area of work. If you have no work experience, just skip this section. You do not need to write "Work experience" and put a dash in front of it.
Additional Information. In this section, indicate your computer and foreign language skills, and whether you have a driver's license. Also indicate your positive personal qualities. Try to select those that might be important for the job or the position. For people without work experience it is important to indicate the ability and willingness to learn. Try not to use the standard wording "communicative and proactive. Such phrases are found in 90% of resumes, so they do not distinguish you from the mass of applicants. You can also specify your hobbies and interests, but before you do so, think about how they characterize you.
Recommendations. Consider who can give you references. This may be from an employer, a supervisor, or a professor. Recommendations should include your major achievements, awards, awards received, positive personal qualities. You can simply use the phrase "Recommendations can be provided upon request" or indicate the person who can recommend you (his name, the organization where he works and the position he holds, contact information). You may also find it useful to have resume words who can edit your existing resume or create a new one. This will help you get the job you crave as quickly as possible.
